About – This position with provide strategic leadership and expert scientific knowledge in immunology and gene therapy to drive the company’s pipeline through to IND.

Duties

  • Lead the development and implementation of strategies to push drug candidates from nomination and preclinical development to IND submissions.
  • Provide leadership and scientific expertise in the areas of preclinical development, non-clinical pharmacology, and translational sciences for the completion IND-enabling studies.
  • Build and mentor a diverse team of scientists to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment, in line with the company’s culture and values.
  • Prepare non-clinical sections for IND submissions.
  • Collaborate and maintain relationships with external partners.
  • Ensure that timelines and budgets are maintained to reach the target project objectives.

Experience

  • PhD in Immunology or a related field with at least 10 years of experience in industry, preferably within the field of cell or gene therapy.
  • Proven track record of leading programs from discovery, through preclinical development and safety studies to IND.
  • Extensive publications in the field of cell or gene therapy.
  • Experience building and leading teams of talented scientists.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
