Company – MedTech – rapid cancer diagnosis (Basel)

About

A Swiss MedTech company, developing a completely novel tissue analysis technology for advanced, rapid cancer diagnosis.

They’re seeking a talented individual to manage the deployment and maintenance of the software applications on the medical devices at customer hospitals – including the development and automation of these processes.

You would be also be responsible for managing the remote access and control options used by the service team and for tailoring the operating system to customer needs.

Key Duties

  • Managing software configuration
  • Software maintenance and deployment
  • Development and maintenance of device-to-cloud communication
  • Maintain and specify the instrument operating systems for the devices

Experience/Qualifications

  • Configuration management (for example, ansible, puppet, chef, salt)
  • Experience designing device-to-cloud solutions – digital twin / IoT device knowledge
  • Software maintenance/management for embedded devices: Linux / C++ / Git / Docker / Deployment strategies (planning and deployment)
  • Experience working in a regulated environment, ideally medical devices (also considered would be automotive, aerospace, defence etc.)
  • Linux Operating system knowledge
  • Strong scripting skills in bash or similar

Advantageous experience/knowledge:

  • Experience with device cybersecurity
  • Good understanding of medical device lifecycle of and possible attack surfaces
  • Management of a high volume of devices in a production setting
  • Cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)
  • Remote support management
  • Understanding possible security exposures for this type of product
  • Continuous Integration (CI) and Continuous Deployment (CD) pipeline integration and management
