Principal Scientist, Translational Genomics

About – This position aims to provide extensive genomic biomarker expertise to a dynamic and highly collaborative research team to help develop innovative cancer treatments.

Role responsibilities

• Provide extensive expertise for genomic biomarker strategies in early phase clinical trials, working closely with the bioinformatics team.
• Ensure delivery of high-quality genomic data for the projects and work collaboratively with internal teams to provide reports on data QC and analysis.
• Collaborate with CROs to implement and plan genomic technologies.
• Evaluate the platforms, technology, and methods for the clinical genomic analysis.
• Work with internal teams to audit genomic vendors as required.

Experience

• PhD in Life Sciences or equivalent degree or experience.
• Extensive experience in industry within a translational genomics environment.
• Solid experience processing and handling tissues (cfDNA, plasma, FFPE, frozen) for the analysis of DNA or RNA from the clinic to data delivery.
• Experience collaborating with CROs and external parties.
• Knowledge of NGS technology.
• Experience working with cfDNA technology is highly desirable.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
