Responsibilities

Join a dynamic team for the US West Coast territory. You’ll play a pivotal role in both nurturing existing client relationships and forging new ones to drive the company’s expansion in this crucial region. Here’s what you’ll be doing:

Account Management and Customer Development

  • Take charge of existing accounts, fostering strong relationships while also actively seeking out new customers to fuel company growth.
  • Utilize market research to compile a comprehensive list of potential prospects within target markets.
  • Employ a consultative approach to engage key stakeholders, guiding them through our product offerings and ultimately closing deals.

Sales Strategy and Execution:

  • Craft and execute territory action plans tailored to the unique demands of the West Coast territory, regularly assessing progress towards growth objectives.
  • Collaborate closely with our inside sales team to identify and capitalize on high-quality sales opportunities.Travel extensively (40-50%) on the West Coast to meet with current clients and cultivate relationships with new prospects, ensuring a strong presence in the region.

Representation and Industry Engagement

  • Represent the company at industry events and tradeshows, network, and showcase capabilities.
  • Participate in trade shows and marketing campaigns, follow up on leads to drive conversions

Customer Engagement and Technical Support:

  • Proactively engage with both current and potential customers to deeply understand their bioprocessing needs.
  • Provide expert product information, technical assistance, and innovative solutions through various communication channels, including face-to-face meetings, phone calls, emails, and virtual platforms.

Sales Operations and Reporting:

  • Prepare and deliver accurate quotes to customers, ensuring pricing and terms are aligned with company standards.
  • Skillfully negotiate terms and close sales, providing diligent follow-up to secure orders.
  • Keep a finger on the pulse of the market, staying informed about competitor activities and customer feedback to inform our strategies.
  • Provide valuable insights gleaned from customer interactions to our portfolio management team, contributing to product development and refinement.
  • Regularly update sales leadership with detailed forecasts and insights to facilitate informed decision-making.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Biology or a related field within the Life Sciences.
  • Demonstrated success with over 5 years of successful field sales experience specifically within the bioprocessing industry.
  • Sales Expertise: Possess strong sales acumen and negotiation skills, coupled with a customer-centric mindset.
  • Results-Driven: Your professional ethos should revolve around achieving tangible results. Your focus on meeting and surpassing sales targets should be evident in your past achievements and your commitment to driving continuous improvement.
  • Given the dynamic nature of the bioprocessing industry, a willingness to adapt to evolving technologies and market trends is crucial.
