Head of Quality

Scienta are proud to present an outstanding new opportunity as a Head of Quality within a leading Industrial Biotech located in the Munich area. Our client is an industry leader in Protein development, with multiple industrial uses and in 24’ looking to ramp up large-scale manufacturing.

Main responsibilities –

• Developing and leading the implementation of their Quality Management System in line with the ISO standards, customers’ requirements and the company’s strategy and policies.

• Establishment and enhancement of quality control processes at our production partners related in the fields of biotechnology, fiber spinning, and fast-moving consumer goods.

• Establishment and enhancement of quality assurance processes to meet the quality expectations of customers.

• Proactive assessment and evaluation of quality deviations. Initiating root cause analysis of deviations in terms of quality standards and management systems. Identification of the improvement and preventive measures internally and with stakeholders.

• Build and maintain deep and lasting relationships to the key customers and manufacturing partners.

Additional Responsibilities –

• Leading of the company’s quality team and cultivation and personnel development of the team members.

• Provides contribution to multimillion supply and customer contracts in the form of quality agreements and ensures implementation and fulfilment.

• Establishing, maintaining and further development of monthly QM reporting using state of the tools.

• Close collaboration with the heads / process owners of the business functions

• Active contribution to the development of HSE management

Skills you will bring –

• At least 5 years of professional experience as Head of Quality or corresponding role

• Proven experience leading a quality function of an international company with industrial production and outsourced production

• Experience in negotiation with large international stakeholders – CMO’s & Customers

• Knowledge of regulatory requirements, in particular ISO 9001.

• Work experience in biotech, chemical industry and/or fiber spinning industry would be a plus.

• Scientific background / Degree is ideal.

• Fluent language skills in English is necessary, German is a bonus.
