IT Manager

Role Overview:

As my biotech client’s IT Manager, you’ll play a pivotal role in shaping and executing their IT strategy. You’ll be the go-to person for all things IT, managing their relationships with external IT service providers, and collaborating with internal teams on critical IT projects. Your leadership will ensure their IT operations align with their business goals, driving growth and efficiency across the company.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement their IT and Cybersecurity strategy, ensuring their infrastructure remains cutting-edge and secure.
• Lead and oversee IT projects from start to finish, including planning, budgeting, and execution.
• Manage external IT service providers, ensuring adherence to service level agreements (SLAs).
• Supervise the implementation of key systems like their ERP, Contract Management System, and enhance their existing ELN/LIMS System.
• Provide training and support to employees on new IT systems and technologies, and offer data protection training.
• Oversee daily operations of external IT support, including network management, software deployment, and cybersecurity.
• Ensure compliance with data protection laws and manage data protection strategies with external consultants.

Experience:

• Proven experience in IT Operations and Project Management, with a track record in cybersecurity and system implementations (e.g., ERP, contract management systems, ELNs).
• Strong knowledge of data integration and experience managing data between IT systems and external partners.
• Relevant certifications (PMP, PRINCE2, ITIL) are strongly preferred.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms such as Azure and Microsoft 365.
• Fluency in English is essential; conversational skills in German are a plus.
