An innovative pharmatech company is looking for a Medicinal Chemist to assist in the design of compounds across the chemistry and biology teams, advancing programs from hit generation to preclinical candidates.

Key Responsibilities:

• Contribute to the creation of new drug candidates through optimisation of lead compounds.
• Manage 1+ medicinal chemistry programs and contribute to patent filings.
• Cross functional tasks with the technical team to enhance generative AI.
• Synthesis and design of small molecules.
• Collaboration with external partners to support internal and external programs.

Qualifications:

• PhD in Chemistry, Synthetic Chemistry or Organic Chemistry.
• 5+ years minimum industry experience
• Experience in compound design for drug discovery projects.
• Strong background in ADME, SAR & molecular modelling.
• Experience in biotech environments is highly desirable.
