About – This position will be responsible for building and leading the biology team for a global clinical stage biotech developing immuno-oncology therapeutics.

Location – New Jersey

Duties

  • Build and lead the company’s biology department, including recruiting and mentoring new talent.
  • Drive strategic direction for the development of novel therapeutics from target selection and validation through to IND.
  • Work with other senior leaders to coordinate cross functional activities to ensure project deadlines and targets are met within budget and to set timelines.
  • Stay up to date with novel science and emerging technologies within the immuno-oncology space.

Experience

  • PhD in Biology / Biochemistry (or related field)
  • At least 10 years of experience within industry.
  • Proven track record developing small molecule or antibody therapeutics from discovery and early development through to IND.
  • Extensive expertise in immuno-oncology, proven through a strong track record of publications and patents.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, in English and Mandarin.
  • Ability to travel for extended periods of time.
