Director of In Vivo Pharmacology – Biotech Industry

Location: Piscataway, NJ

A leading biotechnology company is seeking a Director of In Vivo Pharmacology to join its dynamic Research & Development team. This role will focus on preclinical and IND-enabling in vivo pharmacology and toxicology studies to support innovative pipeline programs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and execute in vivo studies with mice and NHP models to assess CAR-T/NK mediated efficacy and toxicity in tumor and autoimmune disease models.
• Collaborate with CROs and internal research teams to support early and late-stage development programs.
• Process and analyze tumor and tissue samples, ensuring accurate assessment of safety and toxicity risks.
• Utilize multi-color flow cytometry, cell co-culture, and other techniques for immune cell function analysis.
• Document, analyze, and report findings to advance cell-based immunotherapy development.
• Lead exploratory research initiatives to support innovative therapeutic approaches.

Requirements:

• Ph.D. or Master’s degree in Immunology, Cell Biology, Cancer Biology, or related field.
• 5+ years of hands-on in vivo study experience, including expertise in injections, blood collection, tissue processing, and immune cell analysis.
• Prior experience in CAR-T/NK cell therapy development within the biotech or pharmaceutical industry.
• Strong leadership skills with 3+ years of management experience.
• Basic knowledge of toxicology and risk assessment for cell-based therapies.
• Critical thinking, problem-solving abilities, and a strong sense of ownership.
• Ability to work in a collaborative and fast-paced environment.
