(Senior) Healthcare Compliance Officer

About the role:
This newly created role of (Senior) Healthcare Compliance Officer will be a vital partner to the Commercial, Marketing and Medical teams, working closely with the heads of each department to ensure the company maintains its high standards of Ethics and Compliance.

In your day-to-day role, you’ll be

  • The Healthcare Compliance Officer will operate within our EU and RoW team, working as a subject matter expert in healthcare compliance matters.
  • Acting as the main point of contact and driving initiatives to prevent, identify, and manage compliance risks.
  • This role contributes to developing, implementing, and maintaining elements of our Global Business Integrity program pertaining to healthcare compliance.
  • You’ll be designing and monitoring systems and processes, overseeing policies and procedures, and delivering training programs.
  • Under the guidance of the Sr. Director Corporate & Healthcare Compliance EU & RoW, the Healthcare Compliance Officer conducts compliance risk assessments, trend analyses, and root cause analyses, with a focus on healthcare compliance. This involves establishing internal controls, overseeing monitoring activities, participating in investigations, and contributing to remediation efforts as necessary.
  • Collaboration with Business Integrity team members is essential, particularly in coordinating the Business Integrity Intranet page and facilitating business integrity committee meetings.
  • Regular reporting to the Executive Director Corporate & Healthcare Compliance EU & RoW, and when appropriate, to the Chief Ethics & Compliance Officer and management, is required. This includes promptly reporting incidents and providing updates on healthcare compliance risks.
  • Staying informed about healthcare and corporate regulations and compliance practices, the Healthcare Compliance Officer educates and informs the business, senior management, and staff members on compliance program matters and relevant industry developments.

What we are looking for:

  • An experienced compliance officer with roughly 6 years of experience in healthcare compliance
  • Experienced with launch compliance is a benefit
  • EU healthcare compliance standards and practices, including EFPIA code requirements and standards.
  • International healthcare compliance experience in Pharma/Biotech healthcare compliance practices – anything in the Middle East and/or APAC region would be advantageous but not required
