About the Company:

We are currently retained by a leading global mid-sized Contract Research Organization (CRO) to find an exceptional candidate for a Senior Director, Clinical Operations role within their DACH team. This organization is renowned for its partnerships with biotechnology and pharmaceutical companies, providing full-service capabilities and Functional Service (FSP) solutions throughout the entire clinical development journey.

About the Role:

This role will be pivotal in leading the DACH team’s clinical operations, ensuring the successful execution and delivery of multiple high-impact projects while driving performance and strategic growth across the region.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Provide leadership to ensure the overall performance, quality, execution, control, and completion of all Clinical Operations services across the DACH region.
  • Drive the successful completion and delivery of services by managing various metrics and KPIs.
  • Oversee and coordinate the activities of multiple projects and project teams to ensure all timeframes, targets, and costs are maintained effectively.
  • Execute all relevant line management responsibilities, including goal-setting and development planning.
  • Foster a performance-driven culture across the region.
  • Lead resource planning and strategy development to ensure appropriate headcount.
  • Develop and maintain key relationships with customers, and participate in customer steering committees as needed.

Main Requirements:

  • Proven experience in a senior leadership role within Clinical Operations, specifically in a CRO
  • Strong track record of managing large, complex clinical trials, preferably in Oncology, across multiple regions.
  • Expertise in driving performance through metrics and KPIs.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and teams simultaneously.
  • Excellent leadership and line management skills, with a focus on developing high-performing teams.
  • Strategic thinking with experience in resource planning and headcount management.
